My story with Raynaud's

I have been battling from secondary Raynauds since I was very little without knowing it was a medical condition. I just thought when people got cold their fingers, toes, and ears did what mine would do… which was turn red, white, or purplish/blue, feel tingly and numb accompanied by immense pain.

Back in 2016, I was diagnosed with my 13th and 14th diagnosis’ being Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Raynauds Disease. What both of these diseases have in common is there is no cure and the only medications used are essential to attempt to minimize the severity of the symptoms. I have tried everything possible to treat this beast called Raynauds such as, calcium channel blockers, vasodilators, antihypertensive medications, hot hands (the ones for hands and also feet), dressing warmer, doubling up on gloves and fuzzy socks, heating pads around my fuzzy sock covered feet, coping with stress, and avoiding rapidly changing temperatures, however, I have had no relief. I am currently in a severe flare of Raynauds to the point where my toes are ulcerating and I have been on steroid cream for a little over a month now with no improvement or relief. To say it has been a struggle is a complete understatement.

My overall honest opinion of this product its that it is a game-changer not only for Raynauds patients who need them but also for people who live or travel to very cold areas. It is multi-beneficial and multi-use. Although I have not found a remedy to help my Raynauds, this hand warmer gives me so much hope and has helped in alleviating some of the pain and has easily increased my blood flow. I would also like to state that although it is a hand warmer, you can use it on your toes too, I have and it’s been amazing! As far as the pictures I am sharing, one is the hand warmer charging with the informational card from Raynauds. Foundation which I never knew existed and am so thrilled to check out and learn more about my disease! The other one is me sitting on the couch all wrapped up trying to get warm while using the hand warmer as my fingers began to turn white. Lastly, the other is of my cat who likes to steal the heat from me because she thinks she owns the place.
